The unmet needs corner @EU Marketplace in Brussels: a new experience for Fill the Gap
We designed a new experience to collect unmet needs during the EU Marketplace for eHealth & EIP on Active and Healthy Ageing that took place the 22nd september in Brussels as part of the
European Commission event “Growing the Silver Economy in Europe”.
The focus of the EU Marketplace for eHealth & EIP on AHA was bringing together large industry, SMEs, policy makers, researchers, care professionals, service providers, buyers and consumers
through formal and informal meetings.
The objective was to provide a platform for all stakeholders in connected health and AHA actors’ to meet, share best practices and develop effective collaborations leading to new projects and
business opportunities. The event also provided a platform for the exchange of information between procurers and potential suppliers. Through the European project GET - Global e-Health
Transforming Services, the event proposed sessions to:
Support the internationalisation of European companies (especially SMEs) - GET Global service
Identify eHealth market opportunities across Europe – Fill the gap service
A new way to collect needs was designed for the event, trying to involve attendees in the process and giving visibility to the project service: the unmet needs corner.
The corner was located in a central area, where the fluency of visitors was higher. When people got closed to the corner, they can touch the cards, pulling them out to read the content of each
one. One person was always near the corner to explain the service and what we were collecting.
Most of people felt it was a really good idea and wanted to share their ideas with us.
